Our junior screening tests both functional movements and fundamental movement patterns: running, skipping, jumping (locomotion), throwing, catching, kicking, striking (object control), stability, and awareness. Our screening is adapted from the Titleist Performance Institute and determines how and at what level to begin training. We customize each child’s training program to match their skill level to ensure that each training session is challenging, fun, and rewarding.

The successful implementation of a youth training program begins with the assessment, sensitivity to age, individual motor development, and specific goals set out to optimize performance. This process is best started at a young age. Juniors who start training early acquire a proper base upon which to build and avoid making faulty, inefficient, or unnatural patterns into habits that increase risk of injury and limit optimal performance. Most individuals, including juniors, cannot begin to make gains in strength and power until such faulty patterns are overcome. Workouts range from “deliberate play” (games that emphasize speed, change or direction and adaptation to rules) to high intensity speed and strength work for 16-20 year olds. CES takes pride in bringing expert, educated, and committed staff to each junior conditioning session. We are dedicated to releasing the inner athlete in your child in a safe and rewarding atmosphere.
