What does FMS stand for?
· It stands for Functional Movement Systems and Functional Movement Screen
What is a Functional Movement Systems screening at CES Fitness?
· It is a whole-body screening to test for muscular strength or imbalance, mobility restriction, and poor patterning. The screen points out limitations in the basic movement patterns of otherwise healthy people.
What does the screen consist of?
· The screen consists of seven simple tests based on the six primary movement patterns: squat, lunge, bend, twist, push, and pull. Every test includes three components: balance, mobility, and stability.
How long will it take?
· Up to one hour
What to wear?
· Dress in your usual work-out attire or street clothes
Is the FMS Screen for me?
· YES! The FMS screen is for everyone! It consists of exercises that have little to no impact, it is safe, and pain free!
Facilities
· There is both a men’s and women’s locker room that is equipped with lockers, showers, toiletries, and towels. (Note: CES WEST & CES SP DO NOT have shower or locker facilities)

· The trainers and staff are friendly, intelligent, and excited! All levels of fitness are welcome and encouraged to go through the FMS screening.

What happens post-assessment?
· Your trainer will design a personal exercise program and discuss fitness goals.
